In commemoration of the 300 th anniversary of the death of Dietrich Buxtehude, the full choir and chamber choir will present his exuberant Magnificat, as well as his only surviving Mass setting, fragments of cantatas, chorales, sonatas and organ works.

Handel’s Messiah was originally written to raise funds for charity. This Christmas,
Pax Christi Chorale is partnering with the Daily Bread Food Bank and asks that everyone bring along a non-perishable food item to be collected at the concert. Please join us after the concerts for our Christmas cookie reception.

The Bruckner Mass in E minor is the epitome of 19 th century German romanticism, a gigantic work for double chorus and wind ensemble. Alongside this grand setting of the Mass, Pax Christi Chorale will also present more intimate a cappella motets and songs by Rheinberger, Willan, Stanford and Lauridsen.
