Welcome to Pax Christi Chorale's 23rd Season!

Under the artistic direction of Stephanie Martin, Pax Christi Chorale is one of Canada's leading oratorio choirs. The choir is recognized for bringing a deep spirituality and sincerity to each performance by both our esteemed guest soloists and audience members alike.

Eric Friesen, host of CBC Radio Two's former and very popular show, Studio Sparks, will host the opening concert of the season. Fanfare of Canadian Hymns II will feature winning compositions from our inaugural Great Canadian Hymn Competition. This concert will also mark the debut performance of the Pax Christi Youth Choir. Christmas Splendour will feature parts IV and V of Bach's magnificent Christmas Oratorio, in addition to other exquisite gems from the Christmas repertoire by Tavener, Lauridsen, Willan and others. Our Spring concert will feature Mozart's Requiem, and will also include performances of works by Mendelssohn, Bach and Rheinberger.

Pax Christi Chorale and the Gallery Choir of the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene present "The Children's Messiah", Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 4:00 to 5:00pm in the historic Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, 477 Manning Avenue. Designed especially for the younger crowd, we encourage you to bring children to hear highlights of Messiah in all its glory for the first time in this casual setting. Pay what you can at the door.
