Seasons of the Spirit

In December 2003, Pax Christi Chorale released its second CD, Seasons of the Spirit. A musical journey through the Christian year, it includes the premiere recording of a commissioned piece by Toronto composer Scott Good, based on the traditional Mennonite hymn "Take thou my hand, O Father." Good describes this composition as "a journey from darkness to light."

Our First CD: Rejoice!

Sorry! Rejoice! is sold out.

Pax Christi's Mennonite roots, as well as our present diversity, can be found in the richness of the repertoire on our first CD - Rejoice!

The works include reflections on our German heritage, selections derived from the British cathedral tradition, and samples from the choir's work in the field of oratorio. Several Canadian compositions are also presented, including works by well-known Toronto composer Healey Willan and Mark Sirett of Kingston. Hymns on this recording are augmented by our audience. The recording would not be complete without Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow, which is sung with great affection and deep emotion by many Mennonites at times of worship and celebration.
